Protestant Church Wehrheim
The protestant church in Wehrheim, constructed in village baroque style, dates from 1781. In 2005 it was renovated and is now once again radiant in its original pastel colour scheme.
The Bürgy organ was brought into service on 17th july 1783. It has one manual and 16 registers with approximately 880 pipes. In2006 a renovation was carried out whereby original wooden trackers were installed.
The 1950s limewood crucifixion group, with figures of Mary an the apostle John, next to the crucifix, is particulary notable. The wood was taken from the "Luther lime tree", which had been planted in 1817 on the occasion of the celebrations for the 300th anniversary of the reformation, but later felled.
The altar, bearing carvings of vines and ears of corn, is also of limewood.
The beautiful marble front to the left of the altar was donated in 1785.
A colourful ceramic cross bearing the caption "friendship", "undugu", is a reminder of the longstanding partnership between the parish and ceba church in Congo.
As well as services of worship, various concerts are held in the church.

Catholic Church Wehrheim
The church of "Saint Michael" was built on the ruins of Wehrheim castle between 1712-1714. It was not until 1899-1902 that the neo-gothic choir and the sacristy were added to the building, then 1955 the neo-baroque altar-pieces and 14 stations of the crossway were installed.
Following the II. vatican council, the arrangement of the church was altered (1970-1973): the pulpit, the high altar and the communition rail were removed, the altar-piece from the high altar (now the altar of the holy sacrament) as well as the altar fashioned from dark travertine marble and the ambo were moved to the left hand side of the church. The marble front (1729) was placed next to the altar.
The last interior renovation was completed in 1993. Notable are four wooden sculptures of saints: St. Elisabeth of Thüringen dressed in noble clothing, with a crown on her head and roses in the folds of her robe, a reference to the miracle of the roses; St. Boniface, holding a bible in his left hand; St. John Nepomucene; and St. Wendelinus, the patron saint of the farmers.
The cross suspended above the altar is the oldest object in the church, dating from 1694.
